Keck takes Center stage with a vision for Rural Kentucky

Politics in the Knobs of Kentucky

Mayor Alan Keck, chief Executive of Somerset, Kentucky captivated the Stand Up Rural America Summit, “ Making a grand entrance to Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic,” Mayor Alan Keck of Somerset took the stage at Pulaski County’s Center for Rural Development to introduce AppHarvest CEO Jonathan Webb at the Stand Up Rural America Summit on Wednesday.

Before Keck introduced Webb however, he addressed the residents of Somerset and visitors from abroad to communicate his vision for Somerset.”

Keck provided a listing of accomplishments which have occurred during his tenure as Somerset’s mayor.  Keck and his team have made Somerset a Rural America success story.

In my considered view, Alan Keck can incorporate this record of success into a serious run for the GOP nomination for Governor of Kentucky. Keck for Governor has a nice ring to it!

Keck would provide Leadership from the Governor’s Office

We are continuing to see an assault on every level of our way of life in the Commonwealth.  The latest is an effort to politicize Kentucky’s credit rating by S&P.   At issue is the inclusion of our state’s reliance on fossil fuels.  This in no way should be a factor when determining Kentucky’s credit worthiness.

Leadership in the Governor’s Office is needed to stand against this and other attacks.  What’s next, cancel Hot Browns?  I hope Mayor Keck enjoys a good Hot Brown.

Ag Commissioner candidate Heath speaks out on Roe v. Wade

“I applaud the Supreme Court of the United States for reversing Roe v Wade and standing up for our most vulnerable. I’m also honored to have cosponsored the Human Life Protection Act in 2019, which makes Kentucky one of the first states to end medically unnecessary abortions.

But, let us not forget that we are here today because of the decades of work by women and men across our Commonwealth and nation. They never gave up and, as a result of their prayer and steadfast determination, millions of lives will be saved.“ -Richard Heath
